Robin looked down at her schedule to check what the room number for her 2nd period science class was.
"2nd Period - Mrs. Green - Science - Room 3303" the schedule read.
She started making her way down the hallway towards the room, but decided that since she had about 5 minutes she should probably make a stop at her locker and drop of a couple of the textbooks because they were really heavy. While she was dropping off some of her things in her locker, she noticed a note fall out of her notebook. she unfolded the note, and read it aloud in her head.
"Yes." the mysterious note said.
Did Aaron write this? Did someone else accidentally drop it in her bag? Does this mean that she actually does, indeed, know Aaron?
So many questions were buzzing through Robins head. Who is Aaron, really? Robin knew that she had to figure that out if she wanted her mind to be at peace.
She stuffed the note into the back pocket in her jeans and slammed her locker shut and continued on towards her science room. Robin carefully avoided a chocolate milk spill on the floor and then finally reached the classroom, still with about 2 minutes to spare.
The room was still about half empty, leaving her with plenty of seat options. She decided the to attract the least amount of attention, the back of the room would be an ideal place for her to sit, so she made her way to the back.
Robin pulled her things out of her bag and set them on her desk, still thinking about the "one-worded note" that she received.
So many questions were still going through her head, but she knew that the only logical answer would be that the note was from Aaron, and somehow he undetectably stuck it into her backpack when she must have not been looking.
She had been thinking so hard about it that she didn't even notice when Gray sat down right beside her.
"Hey Robin." He happily exclaimed, "I didn't know you took 11th grade science!"
Robin couldn't even think of the words to say, it seemed like everything she did felt foreign to her and even simple body functions were impossible around him.
"What is wrong with me?" She thought to herself, "Talk to him, Robin, Talk to him!"
"Oh, yeah. I'm pretty good at science." She said grinning like an idiot.
Before he got a chance to reply, the teacher walked into the room to begin class.
"Everyone! Take your seats please!" Mrs. Green yelled, "Please take out a pencil and a piece of paper."
Mrs. Green began to wildly jot down notes on the board, expecting us to copy them down. If Robin made a "Top-10-Things-In-The-World-That-Annoy-Me-List", copying down notes would definitely be in the first couple things.
After copying down 2 full pages of notes, Robin glanced over at Gray to see that he had been staring at her. Robin quickly looked away, a bit self consciously, and began writing more notes. After about half a page more, a piece of folded paper fell onto her desk. She unfolded it and read, "So are we still on for lunch today?" She read silently to herself.
"Yeah." She scribbled back.
She looked over to see his perfectly white teeth, his perfect smile that made her melt. She couldn’t help but smile back, then the bell rang.“Just a few more classes until lunch,” she happily thought to herself.

While glancing down at her schedule trying to find her 1st period class, the bell rang giving a warning that all the students only had 5 more minutes to get to class or else they'd be tardy. Once she looked up from glancing at her schedule, she noticed all the new faces that were in this school. She only knew 3 out of the entire school. Robin was thankful though, that no one was really giving her "special attention" , she seemed to walk down the halls unnoticed by almost everyone.
2301, 2302, 2303.... ah, room 2304; Mr. Jackson, math class. Robin reached the class right as the final bell rang, but was disappointed when discovering that every seat was already taken. Not only that, but Robin couldn't seem to spot Aaron anywhere. Robin just stood at the front of the room awkwardly, until she heard a tapping sound on the locked classroom door. She opened the door to see Aaron standing there with two chairs in his hand.
"Thanks Robin," he said while smiling brightly at her.
"Ah, thanks for bringing in some chairs son. What might I ask are your names?" Mr. Jackson questioned us.
Robin looked around the classroom to notice that everyone was staring at them. Aaron didn't seem to really notice, or care, because he answered the question confidently.
"I'm Aaron Raven."
Robin tried to pretend that everyone wasn't staring at her right then.
"I'm..I'm.. I'm Robin Ambrose." she stuttered.
"Very well then," Mr. Jackson said. "Go find a table to place your chairs down."
But Aaron had already picked up his chair and was setting it down at a table before he even said that. So Robin was left alone standing at the front of the classroom, with all eyes staring straight at her. Self consciously, she picked up her chair and looked for a table that had space for one more. Robin thought that Aaron's table was full, but somehow it appears that there is room for one more. She carried her chair to the table and sat down right next to Aaron. Robin was still getting this creepy feeling that somehow she knew Aaron, it had been nagging at her all day.
Finally, as Mr. Jackson droned on and on about how algebra was created for about 15 minutes, Robin finally built up the guts to write a note to Aaron.
"This probably sounds really weird... but I feel like I know you from somewhere... I know this sounds crazy, but do I know you?" The note read.
Aaron unfolded the note and as he read he started shaking his head and wrote back...
"No."
His response puzzled Robin, she felt like he was hiding something, and still couldn't stop this feeling of knowing him from somewhere.
"Class seemed like it lasted forever," She thought while packing her notebook and pencil back up into her backpack.
She turned towards where Aaron was sitting to ask him the same question again to see if maybe his response would be different, but he was no where to be seen.
"He must have left class while I was packing my things..." she thought.
Robin didn't understand his random act of rudeness, and why he seemed to be acting so mysterious. But the sound of the warning bell interrupted Robin's thoughts and reminded her that she needed to be getting to her 2nd period class; science, her favorite subject.

thanks so much again everyone! you all have been so supportive and awesome!

Searching the room for someone to help her find the proper books she needed, she heard what sounded like a book and a bunch of papers fall to the ground. Robin walked around a large stack of books, and saw a very familiar looking boy about her age on the floor picking up a couple text books and about two dozen papers that were scattered all over the floor. Robin couldn't figure out where she knew him from, but she felt like she had seen this guy before; blond hair, bright blue eyes, and very pale. As he noticed her standing there, he looked up at Robin as if he was about to say something, and then decided to stop mid way and continued picking up his things. Robin bent over and started to help him pick up his papers while he was picking up all the text books. He looked at her and smiled.
"Thanks, I accidentally bumped into that stack..." He pointed to a stack of books and papers that had already half toppled over all over the ground, "And then right when I took one step everything fell over onto the floor."
Robin examined the stack that had fallen over and smiled, "Your welcome, do you know where I can get my books though? I'm not sure which ones I need... I'm new here and..."
He interrupted her mid sentence, "No way, I'm new here too. I was actually looking for my books too, no one was in here when I came in a few minutes ago." He reached over and picked up a note, "Whoever was helping in here though left a note though."
"BE BACK IN 5 MINUTES, WENT TO GET COFFEE" the note read.
"She should be back any minute now," he proceeded.
He noticed that Robin was holding a schedule in her hand, and made a gesture towards it, she handed it over to him.
"So... " he said reading her schedule.
"I'm Aaron Raven, I just moved here from Washington."
Robin used to live in Washington as a child, that's where her father was born and had lived his entire life. "That's where he met mom," Robin thought to herself. She had to close her eyes in order to fight back the tears of thinking about her father.
"I just moved here from Arizona." she sighed.
Right as he was about to open his mouth to speak, the door clicked open. A woman probably in her mid fifties entered the room with her coffee in hand and sat down in a seat at her desk.
"Hello!" she said a bit too peppy, it was probably because of her nearly empty highly caffeinated coffee she was chugging down like her life depended on it.
"What can I do for you kids?" she said after taking another sip of coffee.
"We need to get our books, were new to the school." Aaron answered for the both of us.
The woman looked back and forth at the two of us, and then down at her computer.
"Aaron Raven and Robin Ambrose? Is that you two?"
We both nodded our heads in agreement.
"Okay, right this way then," she said while basically jumping out of her chair and heading down a row of book stacks. She began frantically searching through text books until she pulled out 6 books for him, and 6 for me and set them all on the floor for us to pick up. Robin got down on her knees and placed her practically empty backpack in front of her and began stuffing the 6 text books into the big pocket, Aaron grabbed one and handed it to her to place in her bag and then he stood up. She glanced over and Aaron had already packed his books and was heading towards the door way. Right as he was about to walk out, he glanced back over at Robin.
"See you in 1st period, Robin."
She was busy placing the last book in her bag and looked up to wave but it was already too late, he had walked out. Robin didn't remember ever telling him her name, but then she remembered that the book lady had said her name and it was also written on the top of her schedule, that must have been how he knew her name. The more she tried convincing herself that that was how he knew her name, she couldn't shake the feeling as if she somehow knew him. But that couldn't be possible, they both just moved here. She'd never seen him in her entire life.
Robin stood up to exit the book room, calling a "thank you!" to the book lady who was in the back of the room chugging down her second cup of coffee like a maniac. Right as she walked out of the room, the bell rang telling her it was time to go to class.
Time for 1st period...

Robin quickly turned to face the woman who was sitting at the desk applying what looked like her 3rd layer of bright red lipstick in a hand mirror. She walked up to the desk, and had to fiddle with the front pocket zipper in order to retrieve the slip of paper.
Robin handed the paper to the woman, and before the woman even read the slip of paper she said,
"Robin Ambrose, right? From Arizona?"
Robin just slowly nodded her head, wondering if everyone was already gonna know who she was.
"Your the girl who killed her father?"
Robin felt her face burn and felt the tears coming just from the mention of that terrible, terrible memory. The night that Robin was out to dinner with her parents, and they'd had just a little too much to drink. Robins father insisted on driving, that he was "sober enough" to take on the road. Robin and her mother knew though, that he wasn't sober enough, and neither was Lydia, so the only one left to drive was Robin. A girl who had barely even gotten her permit yet, and was forced to drive home on a busy Saturday night across the interstate. Everything had been going well until Robin noticed that the brakes weren't working... she couldn't slow the car down, they were about to come up to a four-way intersection... the car just kept going faster and faster, everything outside the windows was a blur. The first thing she heard was a loud scream, then she felt the impact. Steel metal breaking and glass shattering all over her bare skin, covering her body with cuts.
The next thing she remembered was waking up in the hospital the next day, hooked into an IV, laying there barely conscious. It seemed like forever until a nurse finally walked into the room.
"How are you feeling?"
Robin just stared up at the woman and nodded her head, incapable of forming words right now.
Where was her mother? And where was her father? Were they both okay? Was she the only one who survived?
As if reading her thoughts, the nurse proceeded on saying, "Your mother is fine, shes in the room right over. But were afraid that your father... he... he isn't going to make it... I'm so sorry, Robin."
That's when the reality of all this finally sunk in. Robin killed her father. Not purposely of course, but accidentally. But the fact that it was an accident didn't even matter, she was still responsible, once she returned to school all the kids called her a "Murderer" and other names that Robin couldn't even bare to think of. That's when Robin and her mother finally came to the decision that they needed to leave Arizona. They needed to move, thus ending up right where she was now, in Wisconsin.
Robin slowly nodded her head again, in disbelief that the news of the accident had already spread all the way to Wisconsin.
The office woman handed Robin a schedule and gave her a slip of paper saying where she was to pick up her books.
"Wanna tell me what happened?" She questioned.
But Robin didn't want to talk about what happened, this is why she moved to Wisconsin, to forget what happened. So she didn't answer, and started towards the door. Once she was outside again, she heard the woman in the office laughing aloud to herself.
Once Robin was finally inside the school, she took out the slip of paper stating where she was to pick up her books. "Room 1304."
While looking for any signs to lead her in a direction to this room, she heard someone calling her name, she turned around. Silently wishing that it was Gray. Instead, it was a girl. She had dark reddish/brown hair, light brown eyes, and pale skin. She was beautiful though.
"Hey there, your new here right? My name is Hazel Smith."
"Yeah, I'm new. I'm Robin Ambrose"
There was a bit of an awkward silence, then Hazel proceeded with saying, "So, where are you heading? Have you gotten your books yet?"
"No, I was actually just about to do that, but I wasn't sure where the room was." She said showing Hazel the slip of paper with the room number.
"Oh, here, let me take you there. I know just where that is, follow me." She said smiling.
As they walked through the school, Robin was surprised by the fact that no one really seemed to pay much notice in her. Maybe the lady in the office was the only one who knew about the accident.
Hazel lead Robin through many hallways and doors, until the finally reached Room 1304.
"Here you are," Hazel said, "Room 1304."
"Thanks"
"So do you think you need any help getting all your books? They're kinda heavy."
"No, I think I can get it. Thanks anyways though." Robin said, putting on her most believable smile.
Robin was the kind of person that actually liked being alone, and she preferred doing things on her own anyways. She made sure though that Hazel saw that she really did appreciate her kindness.
"Okay then, maybe I'll see you later then." Hazel said hopefully.
Robin just smiled again, "I'm sure we will, thanks again for all your help."
"Of course, it was no problem at all."
Robin listened to the sound of the door click shut behind her as Hazel exited the book room.
Now, about getting those books...

Lydia shifted in her seat trying to read the signs through the pouring rain, "STUDENT PARKING" was written on one sign that seemed to have started to fade because of all the rain. There was a big black arrow pointing to the parking lots. As they drove up and down the parking lot, Robin's stomach began to feel a little bit nauseous, a common feeling she got whenever she was nervous.
As they were about to go around the curb to start down the next lane in search of a parking space, Robin noticed the red lights from the rear of a car pulling out of the first parking space in the aisle.
"There mom, he's pulling out. Lets park there"
Lydia pulled into the parking spot, shut the engine off, and stared lovingly at her daughter.
"Your going to have an amazing first day sweetheart, don't be nervous"
Robin didn't know what to say, so she just let out a sigh and began to open the door. A cold blast of wind and rain raced into the car.
"Brrrgghhh." Robin shivered as she closed the door and got back inside the car, "I'm gonna need an umbrella and a jacket."
Her mom reached back behind the seat and grabbed a jacket and umbrella, and then gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"Oh, before i forget, you need to bring this slip of paper to the office to get it signed so all your teachers will know that your new to the school."
"Okay mom." Robin said as she finished zipping her jacket as far up as it possibly could go and stuffing the paper in her front pocket.
She put on her backpack as she was getting out of the car, and quickly opened her umbrella to at least shield her from some of the rain. The car honked, and Robin turned back to wave good-bye to her mother.
Robin had to squint her eyes just to see 5 feet in front of her, the rain was brutal, and it was absolutely freezing outside. The rain was drowning out all her senses, all she knew was that she just had to keep walking forward and soon enough she would be inside the office safe and warm.
"Your almost there Robin..." she kept telling herself, "Just keep walking."
As she was walking, she could hear a faint noise beyond all the rain.
She could hear the rumbling of car wheels on asphalt. At least one of her senses was working, besides the fact that she couldn't see this moving car.
Robin looked to her left for any sign of movement, then she looked to her right. Nothing. Yet she could still hear a car, and wherever it was, it was getting closer.
She began to walk faster, almost slipping on the wet road, right as she was about to reach the sidewalk, she hears a noise.
No, not a noise, she hears a voice.
"Watch out!" yelled a man in a truck, "Get out of the way!"
Robin had to jump in order to miss the swerving car as it slid on the street.
It felt like hours she had been laying there on the road, or maybe it was just minutes? She wasn't sure. After finding the strength to open her eyes, she saw that the man in the truck wasn't really a man. It wasn't exactly a boy either, he seemed to be about her age, maybe a year or two older than she.
"Are you okay? I'm so sorry.. the road.. it was really slippery from the rain and my car, I don't know.. it just seemed to spin out from under me and I lost control."
Robin just looked up at him and nodded her head yes, she would be okay. Just a couple bruises.
"Oh, my name is Gray Thompson by the way, I'm a junior. Whats your name?"
"I'm Robin Ambrose, I'm a sophomore."
"Are you new here? I don't think I've ever seen you around here before."
"Yeah, I just moved here from Arizona, I was just on my way to the office."
Robin tried to stand up, but Gray must have noticed her struggle because before she knew it he had already stood up and was reaching for her hands.
"It's alright, I got it..." Robin tried to say but couldn't seem to find the strength to talk and move at the same time.
Gray didn't seem to wanna listen and reached for her hands anyways. After he was sure that she could stand, he picked up her backpack and umbrella and started walking towards the office.
"You think you can walk?" He questioned.
"I think so..."
Robin took one step, and then another, and seemed to be regaining her strength back after nearly being run over by a very attractive boy. It wasn't until she had come back to her senses to actually realize how good looking Gray was. Dark brown hair, pretty tan considering how the weather is around here, and gorgeous light blue eyes. Just looking at him made Robin blush, she inconspicuously turned her head away so he wouldn't notice her blush.
As she turned her head back around, she noticed that he was staring at her too. And once he knew that she knew he had been looking at her, he started grinning.
"What are you smiling at?" She asked.
He started laughing.
"Whaaaattttt?" she pleaded.
Robin then realized what a sight she must have been, soaking wet from head to toe, her hair sticking to her face like saran wrap.
She started laughing too, and as soon as she did his grin turned into a full blown smile.
Gosh, what a beautiful smile he had. She started to feel her blush coming back on and was about to look away until he started speaking again.
"Okay, were here. This is the office" He said as he held the door open.
It took a second for Robin's eyes to adjust to the bright lighting in the office.
"Thank you for showing me the way, I probably wouldn't have found it if you didn't help me."
"No problem." He added in sarcastically, "But you probably wouldn't have found it if I ran you over either."
Robin grinned back at him.
"Think I could make it up to you? Ya know, for almost running you over?" He asked.
"Uhm..." She thought.
"We could meet for lunch today?" He offered.
Considering the fact that Gray was the only person Robin knew so far in the entire school, and she didn't exactly want to spend lunch all by herself, she agreed.
"Sure, Okay, where should we meet?" She asked.
"Front of the cafeteria, I'll be sure to find you."
And with that, he was already walking out of the office doors.
"See ya, Robin."
While he was leaving Robin saw him grin again. She tried to promise herself that every time he did that she would have to try not to melt. How can a boy she barely knows be giving her these crazy feelings?
Robin heard a woman clear her throat impatiently. She then realized why she had come to the office in the first place; to turn in the slip of paper.

Report
